      What is LowTrack?
        LowTrack is an inventory management software package that was originally designed to assist with the management, reporting, and shipping of low-level radioactive waste/materials using the Nuclear Regulatory Commissions uniform low-level radioactive waste manifest.

      Why has LowTrack moved?
        When budget constraints limited available dollars, the Department of Energy stopped providing funds that were used, in part, to support the LowTrack users and software. Many LowTrack users expressed the need to continue support for this useful software tool. Three elements were required to provide the desired support:

            1. Component software engineers
            2. Knowledge of the system and governing regulations
            3. A cost effective means of providing financial support

    The original LowTrack system designer obtained an exclusive license for LowTrack from the Department of Energy and established LowTrack Technology & Services to continue with the LowTrack software support. The formulation of the LowTrack Users Group, for a moderate annual fee, provides the financial support.

      Will LowTrack continue to be supported with changes as needed?
        Yes! LowTrack will continue to be updated as new requirements are identified and as governing regulations are changed. Updated releases of LowTrack will then be made available to members of the LowTrack users group at no additional cost. Please watch this website for announcements
    of upgrades.

      How do I get modifications made to LowTrack and what are the criteria?
        If you have modifications that you would like to see in LowTrack, contact Ron Fuchs, LowTrack Technology & Services (208) 523-0110 or by e-mail rfuchs@lowtrack.com. The criteria for these modifications can then be discussed.

    In general these criteria include:

    • No modifications can be made to the format of the uniform manifest without NRC approval;
    • All modifications belong to LowTrack Technology & Services;
    • and distribution of the modified LowTrack will be made to members of the users group at no
      additional cost.

    Special arrangement can be made for customized manifests and reports but additional fees
    may be appropriate.

      Where do I go for help with using LowTrack?
        One of the benefits of joining the LowTrack users group is the availability of a user hotline, (208) 523-0110, or e-mail rfuchs@lowtrack.com. Your questions will be answered in a timely manner, usually on the initial contact. LowTrack Technology & Services is available to provide individual or group training, at your expense, upon request.

      Is it possible to get LowTrack training?
        Yes! LowTrack Technology & Services is available to provide individual or group training on site for a prearranged cost. Contact Ron Fuchs at (208) 523-0110 or e-mail rfuchs@lowtrack.com for details.
